I’d rather go with stand-alones. There is something sublime about capturing a story in just one book. The want for more mingling beautifully with—but never overcoming—satisfaction.

Not to be a party pooper . . . but I refuse to answer this question.
WOULD YOU RATHER SHOP AT BARNES AND NOBLE OR AMAZON?
Right now, I live in the Philippines and there’s no Barnes and Noble here. So.
WOULD YOU RATHER BOOKS WERE MADE INTO TV SHOWS OR MOVIES?
I’m always interested with news of books getting adapted for TV. I think these allow more space for creative interpretation and/or departure. Except I’m a sucky TV series guy. So yeah. Gimme the films!
WOULD YOU RATHER READ ONLY 5 PAGES PER DAY OR 5 BOOKS PER WEEK?
I know for a fact that I cannot devour five books in a week—well, maybe if all five books are mediocre, then I can jump right off from one title to the next, which will probably leave me in a reading rut. BUT 5 pages per day? Daaang, that’s two months for a 300-page novel.

I saw this in the comment above, and so question: which author would you save in whatever horrible situation they’re in? I’m just curious! And, my answer to that question is Becky, hands down.
Barnes & Noble or Amazon? Neither. Books of Wonder, forever!
Male or female author? There aren’t two genders. And, besides, I cannot choose between reading Becky Albertalli forever or Adam Silvera. That’s an impossible decision to make.

Regarding the favourite genre question, what is your favourite genre? The notion that people are willing to confine themselves, even in hypothetical situations, to single genres is baffling.
Also, the fact that you, and everyone else, have been able to do this tag is amazing. Just reading the questions is infuriating – your first GIF sums it up perfectly.

Welcome back Levi! Good to hear from you again too. Yeah, no. It’s something to reading across different genres with having your favorite acting as sort of a safe net, but once you take that out of the picture… That’s how it is for me, at least. Idk. But, yeah. That gif is so on point.

AHH THESE ARE SUCH COOL QUESTIONS. (Well, the very American ones are a bit awkward. XD) And ugh, male vs female authors shouldn’t be a question either. That’s so mean! I would read 5 books a week because…I…do….already. XD

Hey there *waves* It actually is bummer that maybe a year ago, I could read 7 books a week…but that just doesn’t work anymore. I prefer to savour my books while I read them (is that a thing?) and kind of let myself think about them after I’ve finished. I think, currently, 3 books a week is my thing.
TV Shows vs Movies? HAHAHAHAHA TV Shows, obviously. I’m with you on the whole “more creative freedom” and I’m a binge watcher (6 episodes a day for GoT) so yep ;P

Wow. 1 book a day? That’s some superhuman powers (at least in my eyes)! And book savoring is completely a thing! I think 3 books a week is an optimal number. That way you can ponder about and/or review one title before jumping right into the next.
PS. I once was in a week of GoT binge watching. It was Season 4 when I decided I want to join the bandwagon.

Yes, I’m so with you on physical books. I don’t think I would be able to live happily without the smell of books. And I refuse to read ebooks, as well, so there’s that.
I’m Ravenclaw, too, and I would also choose only my favourite genre. Fantasy is so diverse and within that one genre there is so much possibility, and I would quite happily only read fantasy and never any other genre, if I had to choose.

IKR! Although, in my case, I do read ebooks, mostly e-ARCs. I think they’re very convenient when traveling. But, yeah, I will always choose physical copies. And hooray fellow Ravenclaw! Same here, contemporary is so diverse I’ll have enough variety on my plate.
